Garage Fire Contained in Graham Home Thursday Afternoon

A residential fire broke out Thursday afternoon in the Graham area, with Central Pierce Fire & Rescue crews responding to the 24100 block of 96th Ave E at approximately 4:08 PM. Units arrived to find a two-story home with smoke and flames visible from the garage.

Firefighters began suppression efforts immediately. The fire was brought under control at 4:46 PM β€” about 38 minutes after the first call. Crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to the main part of the home.

A total of 16 units responded to the scene, including 8 fire suppression units, 3 EMS units, and 5 command and support units. No injuries were reported in Central Pierce's public account of the incident.

The Pierce County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
